The National Bureau of Investigation specializes in the combating of organized and professional crime, the Finnish Security Intelligence Service in the combating of crime and other activities that endanger internal and external security, and the National Traffic Police in traffic surveillance. The Police College of Finland is responsible for recruitment for police training, student selection, diploma and advanced studies, leadership training, further training, and research and development in the police field.
