The Police Technical Centre

The Police Technical Centre is a support services unit that acquires, maintains and develops equipment and supplies for the Finnish Police.

The responsibilities of the Police Technical Centre include the supply of police vehicles and uniforms, care of service weapons, and the acquisition, storage and sale of the material needed by the police. The purpose of the development work is to ensure that police receive equipment and supplies that are thoroughly tested and suited to Nordic conditions.

In addition to the Finnish Police, the customers of the Police Technical Centre include other security bodies of the central and local government.

Unlike other police units, the Police Technical Centre finances its operations through the sale of its products and services.
