Public eventA public event refers to entertainments, competitions, shows, and other similar events open to the public that are not considered public meetings. If participants require an invitation or membership of a certain community to participate in the event, the provisions on public events shall apply unless the event can be considered a private occasion on the basis of the number of the participants, the nature of the event or other particular reasons. An organizer may submit a notice for several events at the same place but on different dates if the local police give their approval. The police may, when appropriate, give instructions or orders concerning certain points mentioned in the Assembly Act prior to or during the event. Back | Print page | |
