Following a break due to pandemic restrictions, it is now time to celebrate the National Police Day. On Saturday August 27th, Western Uusimaa Police Department organizes events around the region.

National Police Day is an event organized in various cities and municipalities around Finland. First organized in its current form in 2009, it is an occasion open for everyone and suitable for all ages.

- This is an opportunity for police officers to meet and talk with citizens. In addition, people will have the chance to get acquainted with police officers, as well as our work, tasks, and equipment, notes Chief Inspector Markus Ramstedt of Western Uusimaa Police Department.

In recent years, coronavirus pandemic has restricted the arrangements. This summer we are finally able to meet face-to-face again. At Western Uusimaa, National Police Day is celebrated in Espoo, Lohja, and Raasepori on August 27, 2022.

In Espoo, National Police Day is held at Vanttila city garden at 12-15. It will be a part of the Espoo Day celebrations, which are held at the same location. Police officers will be on site displaying police motorcycles and patrol cars.
