A part of Kaivopuisto, an area located by the sea in the southernmost part of Helsinki, has been reserved for the reception, more specifically the area between the restaurant Kaivohuone and Ehrenströmintie. This area is reserved for the reception and is restricted to invited guests only.
The reception may have short-term effects on traffic between approximately 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., particularly in the area between Kauppatori and Kaivopuisto. The Embassy will direct traffic in the Kaivopuisto area. These temporary traffic arrangements should be taken into account especially by the Olympiaterminaali passengers, who are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
Helsinki Police will be highly visible and will help to ensure the safety in Kaivopuisto during the celebration.
A temporary aviation restriction area will be established over Kaivopuisto to ensure official flight operations and the safety of public events taking place in the area. The restriction applies to unmanned aircraft systems (drones) and will be in effect for the duration of the reception. The restriction does not apply to state authorities or pilots with a special permit.
