18.4.2024 | The Finnish Police participated in an international crime prevention operation taking down LabHost, an online service specialised in phishing banking credentials and credit card details. Hosting service providers and dozens of customers of the service were arrested across Europe. The operation was led by the UK London Metropolitan Police in cooperation with Europol. A total of 19 countries took part in the operation.

Development work will now focus on the desperately needed crime prevention functionalities in the existing systems used by the police such as Polo, the police information system Patja and the police online services.

8.6.2021 | The Finnish Police participated in a major global law enforcement operation led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Europol, among others, has published a press release on the operation today on 8 June. For Finland, Operation Greenlight contributed to the fight against organised drug trafficking, in particular, and resulted in large drug seizures.
