    4.2.2021 | The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Helsinki, Häme, Southeastern Finland and Ostrobothnia Police Departments have investigated illegal import, sale and distribution of drugs run from the Netherlands between June 2018 and May 2020. Investigations have been conducted into 17 drug smuggling operations involving suspected aggravated narcotics offences.

Based on preliminary data, it appears that the main causes of the accidents and the accident types do not significantly differ from what the Finnish Crash Data Institute’s (OTI) reports tell us (annual report 2020).

The number of environmental offenses, natural resource offenses and health and safety offenses provided for in the Criminal Code has reached a record high. These findings were published in the recent report of the Finnish Environmental Crime Monitoring Group.
