Delegation led by National Police Commissioner Ilkka Koskimäki visited Ukraine between 1 and 4 July. During the visit they met with law enforcement authorities and got acquainted with their operational environment.

In the delegation of Koskimäki there was also Director of the National Bureau of Investigation Robin Lardot. The delegation got acquainted with the Ukrainian National Police, Security Service, the State Bureau of Investigation and Prosecutor General's Office.  

In the meeting with the National Police of Ukraine representatives, discussions were held concerning changes in the activities of the Ukrainian police due to the extensive Russian aggressive war. Chief of National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhivskyi was also present. Discussions concerned participation of the police in battles and evacuation of civilian population as well as in the investigation into war crimes. Furthermore, the cooperation between the Finnish and Ukrainian police and its development particularly in investigating war crimes were also discussed.
