There has been a shooting at the Viertola school in Vantaa this morning. The police received the call at 9.08.
At 9.04 Police are at the scene. Bystanders are asked to stay away from the scene and to remain indoors. Do not open the door to strangers.
At 10.08 The suspected shooter is in police custody.
At 10.35 All persons involved in the shooting are underaged. According to current knowledge three have been injured.
At 11:18 All persons involved are 12 years old.
At 11.32: The police apprehended the suspect on the Helsinki side. The perpetrator was in possession of a firearm and the suspected perpetrator and the gun are in police custody.
