As of 1 October 2021, illegal threats against a person because of their job duties or public elected position of trust are an offence subject to public prosecution (Act Amending the Criminal Code 698/2021).

It is not relevant whether such an illegal threat was made at the injured party’s place of employment, by e-mail, in social media, etc.
