Contact information of the police units will be updated on the Police.fi on November 29, 2022. The operation and structure of the contact information search will also be changed. The largest change is that police stations will no longer have separate contact information pages.

During the change, the Poliisi.fi website may show incomplete contact information.

One of the police stations of Central Finland Police Department
The police duty desk at Jyväskylä Police Station is located at the corner of Hannikaisenkatu and Urhonkatu streets in the centre of town. The police duty desk receives crime reports. We recommend filing crime reports online. You can also handle matters with us by means of a queueing number. The Police can be contacted by telephone when answering calls is possible alongside our working tasks. Have a look at our more detailed contact information and opening hours.

In emergencies, always dial 112.

Prefer online services.

Read the instructions first before applying for a passport, identity card or other permit, or submitting a crime report.

Book an appointment beforehand, if possible.

For information about pending cases, contact the police department that is processing your case. You can request records and copies by contacting the police department or station.

The cost for a call to the Police is

  • the local network charge (pvm) if you call using a landline number
