Nearly 30 police experts from all over Europe will take part in a course by the European Police College (CEPOL) held at the Police College of Finland between 10 and 13 September. The event is part of the Top Senior Police Officer Course: The Stockholm Programme Realisation training. The other sections of the course will be organised by the Austrian, Irish and Portuguese police.

"The aim of the training is to seek joint solutions to the challenges of EU's internal safety. The Finnish section of the course will be highly practical: the participants will engage in plenty of group work and exercises with themes such as leadership and communications," says Peter Sund who is the leader of the course and in charge of International Relations at the Police College of Finland.

CEPOL's goal is to promote the development of uniform European police activities and cooperation between police training institutes in the European Union Member States. Each year, CEPOL organises more than a hundred training events in EU countries. The courses, seminars, conferences and expert exchange programmes are aimed at senior police officers, police training staff and experts in the Member States.
