The National Police Museum is temporarily closed to the public due to water damage. The water damage occurred during a thunderstorm on Saturday, 7 August.

- We will be forced to close the museum at least for a month, as the damages caused by water are repaired, explains National Police Museum superintendent, Aimo Aitasalo.

No items in the museum collection were affected by the water, but some of the exhibit structures sustained damage. A damage survey is currently underway.
