Helsinki Police Department investigates sexual offences committed on New Year’s Eve

The Serious Offences Against a Person unit of Helsinki Police Department is currently investigating seven separate reports of sexual offences committed in public places in Helsinki City Centre on New Year’s Eve. The offence categories are sexual harrassment and coercion into a sexual act. In order to get an overall picture of the incidents subject to the criminal investigation, the police asks all those who were sexually assaulted during the incidents on New Year's Eve to contact the police.
