The police inspected a total of more than 250 licensed premises between 25 September and 1 October 2023 in conjunction with a period of monitoring licensed premises and foreign nationals. Monitoring was carried out in collaboration with alcohol inspectors, rescue services and occupational health and safety inspectors.

In particular, serving alcohol to intoxicated persons and minors, exceeding the number of customers permitted on the premises, supervision of public order and the effects of the licensed premises outside of and in the immediate proximity of the premises were monitored. Particular attention was also paid to the appropriateness of public order and whether there was an adequate number of security stewards.

Fourteen public order breaches were found on licensed premises. Most (12) of these incidents involved persons performing security steward duties not having their security steward card with them at the workplace. This can be considered as being quite a small number.

The police had to intervene in 10 incidents of serving alcohol to clearly intoxicated persons and in one incident of serving alcohol to a minor. In conjunction with monitoring, a total of 40 reports of various shortcomings and breaches were reported to Regional State Administrative Agencies. Two reports of an offence were filed in conjunction with the monitoring of serving alcoholic beverages.

In conjunction with the campaign, four foreign nationals were found to be in the country illegally, and a total of 12 foreign nationals were caught working without a work permit. This was half the cumber compared to a year earlier.
