Join our Police Day event and enjoy musical performances at Espoo on August 10th
The police organizes various events around Finland in honor of the annual Police Day. We at Western Uusimaa Police Department are hosting our event at Vaakunatori, Espoo on Saturday, August 10th from 11 am to 3 pm.
A warm welcome to our Police Day event at Espoo's Vaakunatori!
Come and get to know the work and equipment of the police – there's plenty to do for all ages. Explore a police car, a police motorcycle, an armored vehicle, or a drone. Why not also grab one of our new police cards or a reflector for the dark autumn evenings? Various professionals will be there, from officers working on the field and motorcycle officers to youth and online crime investigators.
Throughout the day we will also enjoy musical performances, which are performed by police musicians:
11 am: Uusimaa Police Singers Choir
12 pm: Uusimaa Police Singers Choir
2 pm: Helsinki Police Band Quintet
This year, at the event, we will discuss both the beneficial and risky aspects of the web in accordance with the theme "Good web, bad web". To explore these topics with you, a researcher specialized in cybercrime will join the event.
The Police Day event is free of charge and open to everyone. So save the date – we'll meet in the Vaakunatori area between 11 am and 3 pm! The address is Espoonkatu 1, 02770 Espoo.
