National Bureau of Investigation continues investigation of helicopter accident in Eura

The police have interviewed most of the eye witnesses to the helicopter accident in Eura on Saturday 17 May. The National Bureau of Investigation investigates the course of the events together with the Southwestern Finland Police Department, the Safety Investigation Authority Finland and the Estonian authorities.

The National Bureau of Investigation continues the investigation of the accident caused by the collision of two helicopters, and the events preceding the accident. Five persons who died in the accident have been removed from the scene for forensic examination.  

The police have interviewed most of the eye witnesses to the helicopter accident. The interviews continue this week. Any persons who witnessed the incident and have photos or videos of the accident are urged to contact the National Bureau of Investigation at rikosvihje.krp@poliisi.fi. 

The course of the events is investigated together with the Southwestern Finland Police Department, the Safety Investigation Authority Finland and the Estonian authorities. The National Bureau of Investigation will provide more information as the investigation proceeds.
