The National Bureau of Investigation investigates a traffic incident that took place in Mariehamn, Åland Islands on Tuesday, June 3, primarily as causing a traffic hazard.
According to initial information a car would have bumped into a person who had exited from the Consulate of the Russian Federation in Mariehamn.
The suspect was met by the police right after the incident and has been interrogated. The interrogations of the suspect and the victim gave reason to investigate the case primarily as an alleged causing a traffic hazard. According to police investigations the victim was not injured and their bicycle did not suffer any damages.
The police will investigate the case further and establish what happened. The suspect was apprehended for the initial investigation of the matter.
