The Southeast Finland Police are investigating the disappearance of an underaged child in Lappeenranta. The child crossed the border to Russia illegally on Friday the 31st of January.
The child is currently in the custody of Russian authorities, and discussions have been held between various authorities to return him to Finland.
At the moment, the police have no further information on the matter. We will report on the progress of the matter as soon as possible.
