Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto will host United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Finland on 2 June. The police are responsible for security and traffic arrangements during the visit.

There will be convoys on the roads in the city centre of Helsinki. The convoys may cause momentary stops in traffic on Friday 2 June.

Air traffic will also be restricted during the visit. A temporary restricted zone is in effect in the city centre between 1 June at 3 pm and 3 June at 1 am. The restricted zone can be found online at droneinfo.fi or aviamaps.com.

There may also be momentary restrictions to waterborne traffic.

‘We hope that those who are planning to drive in the city centre reserve enough travel time. The disturbances to traffic are only brief and they will end in the afternoon. Thank you for your patience and understanding’, says Superintendent Dennis Pasterstein from the Helsinki Police Department.

Additional information will be posted on the Twitter-page of the Helsinki Police Department @helsinkipoliisi.
