Jämsä police station

One of the police stations of Central Finland Police Department
Jämsä Police Station is located in Keskuskatu street in the centre of Jämsä. You can apply for a passport, identity card and other permits from us. We also handle matters connected with firearms permits and receive lost property. Licence services are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We mainly serve by appointment. We recommend handling matters online. If you do not book an appointment, please prepare to queue. Those who have booked an appointment are called by name in the Customer Service, without separate registration. Ready documents can be collected without appointment. No firearms inspection. ‘Police matters’ receives crime reports and pre-trial investigation record orders on weekdays as conditional on working tasks. We recommend filing crime reports mainly online. Have a look at our more detailed contact information and opening hours.

In emergencies, always dial 112.

Prefer online services.

Read the instructions first before applying for a passport, identity card or other permit, or submitting a crime report.

Book an appointment beforehand, if possible.

For information about pending cases, contact the police department that is processing your case. You can request records and copies by contacting the police department or station.
