The police duty desk at Jyväskylä Police Station is located at the corner of Hannikaisenkatu and Urhonkatu streets in the centre of town. The police duty desk receives crime reports. We recommend filing crime reports online. You can also handle matters with us by means of a queueing number.     Read the instructions first before applying for a passport, identity card or other permit, or submitting a crime report. Book an appointment beforehand, if possible.

    The police department that handles your case gives responses to pending cases. You can order pre-trial investigation reports and inquiries about unfinished investigationsrecords and copies from the police department or police station. Please do not come to the duty desk at the police station or to permit services with weapons, ammunition or explosives. In matters related to the inspection and handover of weapons, please read the instructions for arrival at the police station or permit services on the website of the relevant office.

    The police helpline gives advice on non-urgent matters regarding licences, appointment bookings, e-services and traffic surveillance.

    • international call charge if you call from abroad.
