On Monday, the Helsinki Police Department issued a bulletin concerning traffic arrangements in the city centre on Thursday, 13 July. The traffic arrangements in the Helsinki city centre have partially changed.
Aleksanterinkatu will be closed for motor vehicle traffic between Meritullinkatu and Snellmaninkatu. Vehicles will be diverted from Pohjoisranta in the direction of Pohjoisesplanadi and Eteläesplanadi via the Kirkkokatu–Unioninkatu route, and from Pohjoisesplanadi to Pohjoisranta via the Fabianinkatu–Aleksanterinkatu–Snellmaninkatu–Kirkkokatu route.
According to the information in the earlier bulletin, vehicle traffic from Pohjoisranta to the city centre via Aleksanterinkatu and to southern Helsinki and the Olympia Terminal via Unioninkatu would have been possible.
