Police Day
The Police Day is an event aimed at citizens. Its goal is to promote the police’s visibility and interaction with citizens. The events are open to everyone and suitable for all ages.
The theme for Police Day 2024 was Good Net, Bad Net. The theme was used as a reminder of the dangers and opportunities of the web. Most of the tools used for electronic identification online are based on reliable identification provided by the police. Strong electronic identification methods include banking credentials, mobile ID, and the citizen certificate in national ID cards. The online world has allowed crimes to take place regardless of physical location: they could happen at home, for example.
