Self-exclusion

From the player's perspective, one of the main reforms of the Gambling Act is the possibility to join a centralised self-exclusion register. A player can self-exclude by submitting a notice to the authority. This prevents them from using licensed services.

From 1 July 2027, players will be able to use the authority’s online service to join the centralised self-exclusion register. The service will require strong authentication. The web address and instructions for using the service will be published later on this page.

The service allows you to self-exclude for a specified period or until you remove yourself from the register. If you do not specify a self-exclusion period, you will be excluded for at least one year. The service does not allow you to partially self-exclude from certain forms of gambling. You should contact the gambling service providers to self-exclude from specific services.
