Right of reference
The police cannot be cited as a reference in commercial contexts.
Only the Police or other public-sector security authorities can request written permission from the National Police Board to use the Police of Finland as a reference in public tenders.
Permission must always be sought in advance for marketing communications
Written permission from the National Police Board is always required for using the name of the Police of Finland or individual police units, the police logo or the emblem for marketing purposes.
Permission is required for citing the Police as a reference
The Police cannot be cited as a reference without permission. Businesses or organisations that have supplied the Police with products or services cannot cite the Police as their reference. Any content developed for the Police also cannot be used for marketing purposes.
Requests for permission to use the Police as a reference in the context of the National Police Board’s contracts can be sent to the National Police Board at materiaalikeskus.poliisihallitus@poliisi.fi.
