Traffic Customer Service and Road User’s Hotline

Traffic Customer Service and Road User’s Hotline

Traffic Customer Service is a nationwide customer service helpline for road, rail and waterway traffic matters.  Among others, the website contains information on issues such as road and rail maintenance, road safety and traffic route projects as well as guidelines for applying for traffic licences and permits.

Traffic Customer Service allows you to give feedback, ask questions, submit development proposals as well as make electronic notifications about state-owned traffic routes. Notifications are processed on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4.15 p.m.

You can report road pavement damage, for example, to the service. All notifications are forwarded to the regional contractor, who decides on the necessary measures based on the quality standards set for the road.

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency, ELY Centres and Traffic Management Finland Group organise the customer services for transport as their joint effort.

Road User’s Hotline

You can report urgent road problems and ones that clearly impose danger to traffic by calling the Road User’s Hotline, which is available 24/7.

Such notifications can include a tree fallen onto the road, dangerous slipperiness, water on the road or a heavy vehicle stuck on the road. If you make such a notification, you are asked to provide details on the location of the problem and your contact information.
