However, gambling causes serious social, health and economic harms, which are ignored in advertising.

19.11.2024 | In its decision of 12 November 2024, the Finnish Police Board’s Gambling Administration prohibited the gambling company Veikkaus Oy from marketing gambling games in violation of the Finnish Lotteries Act. The decision is based on marketing of gambling games targeted at minors. A conditional fine of EUR 2,900,000 has been imposed to enforce the prohibition.
